At the end of the 4-day Camp, in which more than 15 students were trained and given 2 Parajumps each from a height of 5,000 ft, Santosh observed  “Nobody in the country was willing to allow the use of their aircrafts for skydiving, till I contacted Amber Aviations. The facilities and Infrastructure at Amber is at Par, and in some departments, even better than global standards.”

And what did first time Parachuters have to say about the jump? Well! Here’s what Ms Roopi, an HSBC Executive has to say about it “ It’s like…falling from the heavens, in slow motion.” Some like Ms Mili, editor of an online newspaper, were here not just for the sheer thrill, “My mom told me not to!” The best part of the jumps was that all these greenhorns landed on their main Parachutes, without resorting to the Reserve. There were a few minor bruises but everybody walked off the Landing Area with Pride intact!

Jasbir Singh, Director, Amber Aviation is really excited about this collaboration with Capt. Santosh To quote him “Penetration of Aviation sports is almost negligible in the country. We Plan to integrate this adventure sports along with Flying Training. We are bench marking flying training institute in US and Australia where skydiving as a sports has been integrated with flying training, as the same aircraft can be used for both the purposes.”

This is second time in this year old training institute that skydiving camp has been organized. Last time it was organized at Hisar jointly with Indian Navy. Clearly, if the trend persists, the day is not very far-off when Pant Nagar will be turned into an Adventure Sport enthusiast’s Paradise. Where one can visit, experience, and touch the sky with glory, in this most thrilling sport of Parajumping.
